Route : Jaisalmer - Camelsafari - Jaisalmer

 

Your itinerary starts with the departure from Jaisalmer by jeep at 2:00 pm (October to March) or 3:00 pm (April to September) to the camp, a drive of 60 km.

 

Starting from the camp, you can enjoy an afternoon camel ride to isolated sand dunes, visiting some Dhanis (small villages) on the way. While riding on your camel you can experience the beautiful sunset after which you will arrive at the dunes for chai/tea/coffee and can watch your tasty dinner being freshly prepared for you over the camp fire.

 

After dinner, campfire and star watching we return to Jaisalmer by jeep.

 

Your tour ends at 9:00 pm (flexible, according to the group’s wishes).

Your tour departs from Jaisalmer early in the morning at 7:30 am with a 60 km jeep drive to the camp. Sunrise is something not to be missed, so why not start with it over breakfast at the camp?

 

8:30 am to 12:00 noon – The Thar camel safari begins, visiting various villages in the remote areas and experiencing the desert wild life.

 

12:00 noon to 3:00 pm - Lunch followed by rest in the shade of trees near the oasis (because the sun is fierce).

 

3:00 pm to 5:30 pm - Now you can experience the stark beauty of the mysterious desert which beckons you to enjoy a magical sunset evening and an adventure you will never forget.

 

7:00 pm - Returning to Jaisalmer by jeep with lasting memories of an exotic desert adventure.

7.30 am : You leave Jaisalmer from the office of the Desert Thar Tours (Gandhi Chowk) and drive by jeep to the camp.

 

7.30 am :Get a first feel of the magic when you have the sunrise served with your breakfast.

 

8.30 am - 12 noon:Your adventurous camel trek will start into the remoteness of the desert,

 

12 noon - 3 pm :Lunch and rest in the shade of some trees near the oasis as the sun is fierce at this time of the day.

 

3 pm - 5 pm :You are setting out for your afternoon ride to experience the desert environment and watch native wild life on your ride towards the sand dunes.

 

5 pm : Watch the sunset on the dunes, after which the Christmas Party will begin.

 

DAY 2 : (Day at own pace)

 

8 am - 12 noon : After a leisurely breakfast your Desert Thar camel tour continues for you to enjoy the peace and quiet of the desert environment and watch the native wild life.

 

12 noon - 3 pm : Lunch followed by rest in the shade

 

3 pm - 5 pm : Afternoon ride to the dunes with optional visit of a Dhani (small village).

 

5 pm : Arriving at the dunes for another beautiful sunset, delicious dinner and a peaceful night under the stars.

After experiencing the impressions of the desert you can enjoy a delicious dinner, prepared for you over the camp fire. Sleeping beneath the star studded sky on your clean bed roll you are bound to have the dreams of the desert.

 

DAY 2 :

 

8:00 am to 11:00 am - After sunrise and breakfast another camel ride, then transfer back to Jaisalmer by Jeep for 12 noon.

12:00 noon to 3:00 pm : Lunch followed by rest in the shade of trees near the oasis as the sun is fierce.

 

3:00 pm to 5:00 pm : The camel trek starts again from Keshwa (Mixed caste village). Watch native wild life and see villages while riding through isolated sand dunes .

The trek continues across the desert and we stop to watch the beautiful sunset before arriving at our campsite. After the days desert experiences you are welcomed to a delicious dinner, freshly prepared for you over the camp fire; and when you are sleeping beneath the star studded sky on your clean bed roll you will have the dreams of the desert.

 

DAY 2 :

 

After sunrise and breakfast, the tour continues with the visits to villages and sand dunes.

 

8:00 am to 12:00 noon : You will experience the desert environment and get a glimpse of the desert vegetation and the exotic creatures on the sand (along with two villages on the way if you wish to visit them).

 

12:00 noon to 3:00 pm : Lunch and rest in the shade of trees.

 

3:00 pm to 5:00 pm : You can enjoy camel riding and galloping along the way while reaching the campsite before returning to Jaisalmer by a one-hour jeep drive.

3:00 pm to 5:00 pm The camel trek sets out again from Salkha village (Mixed caste village). You can watch native wild life and villages as you ride your camel through the isolated sand dunes (Keshwa).

 

You continue your trek across the desert, stopping on the way to watch the magical sunset before arriving at the campsite for your first night. After experiencing the desert you can start your evening by watching a delicious dinner being prepared for you over the camp fire and you can conclude your first day with the dreams of the desert while sleeping under the clear starry sky on your clean bed roll.

 

DAY 2 :

 

Get the real feel of sunrise, served with your breakfast, after which the tour continues with stimulating visits to sand dunes and villages (from Day 2 on any visits to villages are optional according to the wishes of the group; alternatively, the group can choose to enjoy the desert wild life and natural countryside with its peaceful quietness).

 

8:00 am to 12:00 noon You can experience the desert environment and get a glimpse of the desert vegetation and the mysterious creatures on the sand. The safari calls at Lakhmna village (a traditional village of Muslim people) and Gypsy village (a village of mixed caste).

 

12:00 noon to 3:00 pm - Lunch followed by rest in the shade of trees.

 

3:00 pm to 5:00 pm - The next destinations of the camel safari are Luno Ki Basti and the beautiful Sajeet sand dunes.

 

We stop to watch another stunning sunset and after your second days experiences of the desert you can again enjoy a delicious dinner, prepared for you over the camp fire. Sleeping beneath the star studded sky on your bed roll you will have more dreams of the desert.

 

DAY 3 :

 

Sunrise with breakfast served in bed after which the tour continues with exciting visits to villages and sand dunes.

 

8:00 am to 12:00 noon You will once again experience the desert environment, you can view the desert vegetation and desert wild life (along with two villages on the way).

 

12:00 noon to 3:00 pm - Lunch and rest in the shade.

 

3:00 pm to 5:00 pm - Enjoy some more camel riding and galloping on the way to our campsite and return to Jaisalmer by a one-hour jeep drive.

DAY 2 :

 

Having the magical sunrise served with your breakfast will set you up for your second day of adventures, where the tour continues with visits to villages and sand dunes (from Day 2 on any visits to villages are optional according to the wishes of the group; alternatively, the group can choose to enjoy the desert wild life and natural countryside with its peaceful quietness).

 

8:00 am to 12:00 noon – You will experience the desert environment and get a look at the desert vegetation and the exotic creatures on the sand. In this part of the desert you can visit Khayala village (a traditional village of Muslim people) and Megha village (a village of mixed caste).

 

12:00 noon to 3:00 pm - Lunch followed by rest in the shade of trees.

 

3:00 pm to 5:00 pm - The afternoon ride will take you to Gypsy village and the beautiful Sajeet sand dunes.

 

We stop for another stunning sunset on the way and after your second day of encountering the desert you can enjoy watching the preparation of your tasty dinner over the camp fire; and sleeping beneath the beautiful starry sky on your bed roll you can have more dreams of the desert.

 

DAY 3 :

 

Enjoy the sunrise over breakfast served in bed and continue your adventurous tour with visits to villages and sand dunes.

 

8:00 am to 12:00 noon – Your ride will take you further across the desert to give you more impressions of the vegetation and wild life (along with two villages on the way).

 

12:00 noon to 3:00 pm - Lunch followed by rest in the shade.

 

3:00 pm to 5:00 pm - Enjoy the camel trek while riding to the next village, Bhaiarsar and get the real feel of the desert by visiting remote villages.

 

You will reach the Sangar dunes, where you will spend your third night under the stars, in time to enjoy the sunset and traditional camp fire and dinner.

 

DAY 4 :

 

Sunrise with breakfast served in bed will get you ready for the adventures of the final day of your tour.

 

8:00 am to 12:00 noon Your trek through the remote desert areas continues, visiting Luno Ki Basti and later calling at Shakar Ki Dhani if you wish.

Your trek continues to take you across the desert and you stop to watch the magical sunset before arriving at the campsite for your first night under the stars. After your day’s desert experiences you can enjoy watching your mouth-watering dinner being freshly prepared for you over the camp fire and afterwards, when sleeping beneath the star studded sky on your clean bed roll you can dream the dreams of the desert.

 

DAY 2 :

 

Sunrise in the desert is something not to be missed, especially when served with your breakfast. Continue your tour with adventurous visits to villages and sand dunes (from Day 2 on any visits to villages are optional according to the wishes of the group; alternatively, the group can choose to enjoy the desert wild life and natural countryside with its peaceful quietness).

 

8:00 am to 12:00 noon On your ride through the desert environment you get to see the desert vegetation and the curious creatures on the sand. The safari calls at Lakhmna village (a traditional village of Muslim people) and Gypsy village(a village of mixed caste).

 

12:00 noon to 3:00 pm - Lunch and rest in the shade of trees.

 

3:00 pm to 5:00 pm - The ride in the afternoon will call at Luno Ki Basti and then continue to the beautiful Sajeet sand dunes.

On the way we stop to watch the stunning sunset and after experiencing the desert for a second day you can again enjoy a delicious dinner, freshly prepared for you over the camp fire. Settling to sleep under the clear star filled sky on your bed roll you will have more dreams of the desert.

DAY 3 :

 

Start your day with sunrise and breakfast served in bed after which the tour continues with adventurous visits to villages and sand dunes.

 

8:00 am to 12:00 noon - You can experience the desert environment, you get a glimpse of the desert vegetation and the strange insects on the sand (along with two villages on the way).

 

12:00 noon to 3:00 pm - Lunch and rest in the shade.

 

3:00 pm to 5:00 pm – Riding to the next village, Shakar Ki Dhani you can enjoy the camel trek and get the real feel of the desert by visiting remote villages.

 

Conclude your third day of camel trekking with another beautiful sunset, traditional camp fire, tasty dinner and the night spent under the clear starry sky on the dunes at Sangar.

 

DAY 4 :

 

Enjoy the sunrise with breakfast served in bed and set out for another day of your adventurous tour.

 

8:00 am to 12:00 noon - The trek takes you into remote areas with the opportunity to visit Siyalon ki Basti and later Turk Village.

 

12:00 noon to 3:00 pm – Lunch followed by rest in the shade.

 

3:00 pm to 5:00 pm - Enjoy the camel trek while visiting the next village, Gaga Village).

 

After reaching the dunes of Lakhamna you can enjoy the stunning sunset and later the traditional camp fire and dinner. The fourth night is spent on the dunes at Lakhamna with another view of the beautiful star filled sky and the quiet and stillness of the desert.

 

DAY 5 :

 

Sunrise with breakfast served in bed after which the tour continues with adventurous visits to villages and sand dunes.

 

8:00 am to 12:00 noon - The trek continues with visiting Mattu Village and later visiting Barna on the way.

 

12:00 noon to 3:00 pm - Lunch and rest in the shade and go to Jamda Village.

 

3:00 pm to 5:00 pm - Enjoy some more camel riding and galloping on the way to our campsite and return to Jaisalmer by a one-hour jeep drive.

 

6:30 pm The tour ends.
